Bryce Huntoon

“When I sail all that matters is the current moment, just me and my boat moving through the water. My everyday stress disappears, and I simply feel alive again.”

Kaneohe, Hawaii

Bryce Huntoon is an eighteen year old competitive sailor from Kaneohe, Hawaii. He began sailing at age eleven in Rainbow Bay, Oʻahu. He now sails out of Kaneohe Yacht Club, winning back-to-back national championships with his Sears Cup team in 2022 and 2023. Bryce continues to challenge himself with local inshore racing fleets, racing on Melges 24s, Solings, J/80s, and trains on the Waszp, a single-man foiling sailboat.

Bryce has traveled the globe racing in Waszp events, most notably in Italy with the 2023 Nastro Rosa Tour where he placed second and the Waszp International Games in Sorrento, Australia. Despite international success, his love for the sport developed here in Hawaiʻi where he placed 1st U18 in the 2024 Waszp America’s Championship. He is currently training for the 2025 Waszp International Games in Weymouth England.

In August 2025 Bryce will be attending the College of Charleston, in hopes to join the College of Charleston Offshore/Big Boat Team.
